Tampa International Airport ConRAC and APM

Tampa, Florida

This project involved providing a 3-D model of Airside A to assist the architects and engineers in designing entry and exit locations of the new automated people mover at Tampa International Airport. A major consideration of the project was managing to complete the task with minimum impact to the existing conditions.

ELEMENT used High Definition Laser Scanning, also known as terrestrial LiDAR, for the project topography. This is a safer collection method that maintained the level of accuracy Tampa International Airport required, while also reducing the design survey cost.
